Fire and Rain (acoustic)- Dave Matthews Band

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Suzanne, the plans they made made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me Jesus
You got to help me make a stand

You just got to see me through another day
My body's achin' and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way

Oh I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Been walkin' my mind to an easy time
My back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows
It'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line
To talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, one more time again now
Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things comin' my way this time around now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you
Fire and rain

i've decided, enough with the mundane day-to-day update.
if i'm going to blog, it will be about meaningful things.

but i'm still going to talk about today! just because it was a nice night out. :)

the starbucks people celebrated shaun, pearlyn, richard and cherylene's birthdays. fun though it burnt quite a hole in my already shrunken pocket. not to forget my first culinary achievement: brownies! (okay so nat contributed too.) and paul baked an absolutely delicious cake. chocolate-y it was. :D

and i thrashed tony and nat and shaun at pool. like finally. but shaun won 2 out of 4 times, so i suppose that means we're on par.

so yes, school is going to start in less than 48 hours. i'm rather bummed about that, yet i'm also excited in an eccentric way.
i heard we're gonna be seated in alphabetical order during lectures, but that's cool because i'll prolly be sitting with crystal and claire anyways. :)

my 18th birthday is gonna come in about 5 months.
i can't tell you how thrilled i am at the freedom.
yet i wish i'll stay 17 forever. that way i won't have to grow up. i'll still only have "what movie to watch" or "oh gosh this guy is so cute" on my mind, and not how george w. bush seems to be ruining the world or rising oil prices, or even the fact that i'll be a proper adult in a matter of a few years.

shite.
